JDS CREATIVE ACADEMY’S 3rd ANNUAL HAUNTED HOUSE READY TO SCARE AND ENTERTAIN
OCTOBER 26 -27
Fundraiser’s Hollywood Theme Captures the Thrills of Television Horror
TEMECULA, CA, (October 5, 2018) - JDS Creative Academy (JDSCA), will once again host their third annual Haunted House on October 26-27, 2018, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at JDS Studios, 28069 Diaz Road, Suites D, E, & F, Temecula, CA 92590. The door donation is $5.00. All profit raised by the Haunted House will help subsidize JDSCA’s scholarship fund which supports their sponsorship of Dollars for Scholars, as well as the academy’s own scholarships offered to local, underserved populations.
“We’re excited to be a new sponsor for Dollars for Scholars and help graduating high school seniors pay for college,” said Diane Strand, JDSCA Founder. “The money raised by the fundraiser will also help support JDSCA students who are interested in an education in the arts but need assistance with paying for classes. We depend on fundraisers like these to help us help others.”
The Haunted House’s theme will portray seminal characters from popular television shows, but visitors don’t need to be familiar with the shows to enjoy the Haunted House. JDSCA’s 7,000-square-foot studio space will be transformed into a maze of twists and turns, with creepy surprises at every bend. JDSCA welcomes all ages to the event and will lower the scare level for young visitors and those who are easily frightened.
The Haunted House is conceived and built by JDSCA’s haunted house production class, whose members will also play key scaring roles. Instructors Scott Strand, Diane Stand and Kim Williams are leading the class of students, ranging in age from six to adult, who are enriching their skills in set-design, costuming, make-up and acting during the one-month program.
JDS Creative Academy (JDSCA), is a nonprofit 501c3 organization in Temecula, servicing the entire Temecula Valley and surrounding regions with a mission to inspire, educate, and enhance achievement in workforce development by providing job skills and hands-on training in the visual, performing and digital arts. JDSCA works with foster and at-risk youth, autistic young adults, and mainstream populations, creating cross-collaborative enrichment, workforce training, and a creative environment.
